Bonsai Grading System

The route to black belt in the Bonsai Karate grading system involves ten Gradings under your Senior Instructor.

Bonsai Karate holds 4 - 5 gradings each year.

Students will receive an invitation once all criteria is met.

The ten levels before black belt are called kyu grades. Each examination tests your knowledge and technique of Basics, Kata, Partner & Bag Drills and also fitness. Kata and training resources available on our website under student portal.
